I’m a 4ft 11 Yorkshire Terrier who thinks she is a Rottweiler! Originally from North Manchester, but recently relocated to York. You might come across me if you agree to sell your property to us, as I head up the progressions aspect of the company, ensuring we complete the purchase on the day you require.
I actually started working in business sales for a couple of years when I was much younger before unfortunately being made redundant, but it taught me a lot and importantly sent me on the path I’m on now!
A huge takeaway from my first role was that it gave me the bug for property, so from there, I worked as a Negotiator and Sales Progressor in an online estate agency before making the jump to become a Sales Progression Manager at a high street estate agency.
Still determined to increase my knowledge and skills in the property sector I then worked at a conveyancing firm for several years and worked hard to gain my conveyancer qualifications – which has led me to The Property Buying Company!
My title is Sales Progression Manager, which means I’m responsible for the Progressions department. From a customer's perspective, that means I look after the team that ensures you are able to complete on the date that you require, aligning all the legal documentation and chasing solicitors to make the whole process as quick and hassle-free as possible for you.
I love what I do and I believe that shines through in my work. I always want to ensure my clients are happy and meet their expectations to the best of my ability. I’ll always go the extra mile to try and make this happen, and ultimately, make the customer happy.
That’s a tough one, I’m fairly new in the role. Aside from managing to land this fantastic and exciting role, if I had to pinpoint something so far, it would be aligning the Progressions team and putting in place processes to follow that has made everything a bit more efficient.
In my career so far, I’d have to pinpoint two. The first was being made redundant in my first few years of working, which was tough, but ultimately I feel it helped put me on the path I’m on now, everything happens for a reason! The second would be passing my conveyancer qualifications, it’s something I’ve dreamt of for years, and to finally have done it feels amazing.
I absolutely love to travel and have a list longer than my arm of the places I want to visit, and any further recommendations are always welcomed. I also like to try new places to eat, I’m constantly on the lookout for new and exciting restaurants and I’ll also have the occasional beer to go with it!
Enthusiastic, determined, Happy.
